NEW wall stickers collection by Belle and Boo

Well, well...It's time for another blog entry. What do we have up our sleeve this time?

We're thrilled to announce our NEW wall stickers collection by Belle and Boo.

You have probably seen the beautiful work of belle & boo around lately, either in Junior magazine, Etsy or at online blogs and boutiques. British Illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe creates genuine, touching and nostalgic illustrations. She recently had been named "one of the bestselling British artists on Etsy" - The Guardian. AND she is the loveliest person to work with!

Alongside classic Belle & Boo pieces there are new images including the hot air balloons and dinosaurs.

There are sizes to fit your space and budget. From Miniz at £14.99 - perfect for an artsy fix for that special spot in the room, to Large sets at £79.99 - a big "wow" feature that will transform a room into a magical world in an instant.

Mandy shares our excitement over the medium and possibilities of wall stickers: "I honestly can say if I came over to your house and tried to paint this as a mural directly on your wall it would not be half as good as these look. -" wrote Mandy on her blog. "Oh & by the way I have used these stickers I mean really used them, they have been put up & pulled down far too many times now trying to get a photo that does them justice & they still look amazing (does anyone get the feeling I really like this product!)"

Chocovenyl on Page 86 glossy Junior Magazine UK

Fantastic review in glossy printed Junior Magazine, issue November 2009:
"
Stick with it
Chocovenyl is a new company specialising in re-positionable wall transfers for children's rooms. The range features collaborations with leading illustrators from around the world and themes range from transport to whales, but we love Adolie Day's ethereal Fairy design. Available in 3 sizes, with prices starting at £24.99..." - Kate Street, Junior, parenting magazine.

New Artist, Alessandra Fusi joins Chocovenyl

We're happy to introduce magical world of Alessandra Fusi Rome, Italy and her new decals set "Alice in Wonderland".

Alessandra Illustrated several children's books. Infact This illustration was created for a new edition of ever philosophical "Alice in Wonderland" book by Lewis Carroll, which is to be published in Italian.

This is very special set for us as we live in Cheshire. Cheshire was Lewis Carroll's home county. Cheshire cat - the most iconic character and his grin... was referenced many times in popular culture. There are few theories about the origins of Cheshire Cat:

Cheese moulds
It has been said that cheese was formerly sold in Cheshire moulded like a cat that looked as though it was grinning". The cheese was cut from the tail end, so that the last part eaten was the head of the smiling cat.

Dockyard cats
Another origin for the story concerns the cats that lived in the port of Chester. It was said that cats sitting on the dock would wait for the rats and mice to leave the ships transporting Cheshire cheese to London and were the happiest cats in the kingdom; hence their grins.

Church carvings
There are reports that Carroll found inspiration for the Cheshire Cat in a carving of a Church, Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire.

Now you know!..

It is very important to us to encourage reading and we think that we can. As we literally let the fantastic creatures out of the pages of the book. They even might move if you don't look... We're working to enrich our "Books / Fairy-tales" section.

More amazing illustrators to join Chocovenyl universe soon!

Very exciting times for us

First blog post, who would have thought...

The web site is running for about 2-3 weeks now, and is still evolving and being tweaked a bit as we go.

Reaction to the web site and our products so far is fantastic. People love what we do, fascinated by the idea behind it and absolutely adore the different artists designs.

Site traffic is growing by the day. We've been featured in bambinogoodies.co.uk, designspotter.com, www.elleadore.com, design-milk.com and more to come...

We're getting lots of requests from illustrators who wants to work with us, I can say that we already decided on three very talented new artists that will join our collection soon. We'll reveal the names soon...

Nataly is working very hard on our new printed catalog. This is a mammoth task and so it'll take a few more days to complete.

Below are some of the designs (go to www.chocovenyl.co.uk to see the whole collection) :
